Maeştri sătmăreni de odinioară (IV) Stima Erzsebet (1901-1991) Sensibilitatea feminină oglindită în artă

Subiect: This study has the purpose to present a painter from Satu Mare town, that, through her way of life and activity contributed to the image of artist woman in Transylvanian inter-war period. After two years of study at Painting Colony from Baia Mare town (1925,1926), under direct guidance of acknowledged masters, such as Thorma Jimos and Mikola Andras, she painted a series of extremely good works, Stima Erzsebet married to lawyer Czira Arpcid, this thing being, actually, the end of her artistic career. Still, since 1927 she will work, but, little by little, she will devote her time to the family. By presenting few works of Stima Erzsebet, we may have an image about her creation, that arise from her tumultuous artist soul, that never succeeded in the fulfilment of the dream to dedicate herself to this extremely beautiful, risky and disputed calling.
