Restaurarea unei icoane muzicale

  • Subiect: THE RESTORATION OF A MUSICAL ICON The object was a complex one and needed the work of a team: textile, metal and wood restorers. First off all, the object was unbinded so the team could restore each part of it. The textile support was very damaged so I had to change some part of it. The new material was 100% cotton and I dyed it at the same colour as the original. After the chemical and weat treatment the textile support (the original parts) were stable so the object was put together in the original way.
