O încercare de tipologizare a mişcărilor ţărăneşti din secolele XVI-XVIII din Transilvania

  • Subiect: An Attempt of Typologizing Peasants Movements from Transylvania between the 16th and 18th Centuries The peasants' movements have made an impressive career in Romania history from all times and during all political epochs. Naturally, the marxistic historiography changed peasants' problem especially their movements in one of the most fundamental problems of the Romanian history. The explanation is concluded in the essential importance which the social class battle has gained in circumstances when the historical change - assured by the contradiction between production relations and the level of production forces - had, necessarily, to be shown through class battle that led in the end to social-political revolution. Examining the state of things in Transylvania we find out that the 16th Transylvanian century has been marked by tree peasantry movements but only two of them are better known to the people. The first one is the uprising or peasantry war led by Gheorghe Doja in 1514, and the other one is the revolt of Szeklers from 1596. The opinions that form conclusions in the meaning of psychological manipulation of the peasantry crowds in ation are strengthen by the comparison of the leader type that was necessary in front of them. The movements from the 16th and 18th centuries had totally different parameters from exploitation, from economic and social dissatisfactions without excluding their existence. But the mediaeval man functioned as a moral individual, highly religious who took seriously the canons of the spiritual life and as result did not ever ventured in demolishing the existent social construction but only in mitigation of some discrepancies or exaggerations of the social system made with or without will. From this point of view were certain that the historical perspective over the social peasantry movements of our history has tobe re-evaluated entirely.
