Subiect: In the first half of the nineteenth century, the monetary circulation in the Romanian Countries was achieved through over 80 gold, silver or bronze monetary species from different European countries.
Through the Law for making a new monetary system and for making of national coins in 14-26th April, 1867, the decimal system is introduced, the monetary unit of Romania is established to be the " Leu " and the emission of the gold coins of 20 lei, 10 lei and 5 lei, of silver of 2 lei, 1 leu, 50 bani and of bronze of 1, 2, 5 and 10 bani was foreseen.
