Subiect: This study presents the activity of the County Committee of Argeş Patronage, concerning the social works, performed between 1941-1945 and which by the hard work of the prefect Constantin C. Popescu, president of this committee together with other members, succeeded in providing social assistance and material and financial support to IOVR members and to the families of the war mobilized persons. It was intended especially to improve the children's life quality by establishing school canteens and purchasing clothes and footwear for them, with the support of the funds collected by donations, subventions, appeals, subscription lists etc.
