Mari boieri cu stăpâniri în ţinutul Neamţ în secolul al XV-lea: Mihail Logofăt. Studiu prosopografic

  • Subiect: This study is the result of earlier concerns regarding research in medieval history Neamţ County, previously embodied in several articles on this topic. This time, the prosopographic present study, we sought to reconstruct political and economic development, of a high official of the 15th century, which ruled, inter alia, land areas in Neamţ County. It is the great chancellor Michael gentleman that has enjoyed great importance in times voivodes Stephen II (1433-1437), Alexăndrel (1452-1454) and Petru Aron (1451-1452, 1454-1457). Based on this research is the land ownership papers published in various collections of medieval sources. Documents that I had allowed me the importance of compiling overviews of political and social role that this boyar had by middle of the 15th century, until 1457, when Stephen the Great reached Voivode of Moldavia, event marking the escape of Michael the Chancellor in Poland, where he would remain until the end of his life. Wealth of ability, painstakingly built in three decades of the 15th century, helped to secure important lords and royal powers to the Court, culminating as high chancellor since 1443, which the governor will hold until 1457. In the latter year, as I already said thanks to the support he has offered to Voivode Peter Aaron, he is forced to flee in Poland, while the throne of Moldavia reached its rival, Stephen the Great. Although he held many villages, forests, water, peasants and gypsies room, scattered in various provinces, in Neamţ County has ruled only one village: Vânători, located in Bistriţa river valley, near Piatra lui Crăciun.
