Subiect: The vessel presented here, discovered in 2008 at Poduri-Dealul Ghindaru (Bacău County) is a real case-study in terms of degradation occurring as a result of the secondary combustion. Observing the overall state of conservation of the vessel and the apparently uncertain causes of degradation we conducted several detailed investigations consisting of physical and chemical analysis and reference tests. These investigations formed the base of the diagnostic alternatives. Also, they constituted the key to the understanding of the physico-chemical phenomena which determined the degradation processes.
