Subiect: The Romanian Fusiliers in Chioar and Sălaj Territories in the Service of Princes of Transylvania during the 17th Century
The evolution of the military system of defense, war and security of Transylvania during the 17th century, beginning with the reign of prince George Răkoczy (the second) is more and more distinguished by the presence of a special category troops in the standing army of the country i.e. the fusiliers (sclopetarii).
The conscription of the fusiliers from Cetatea de Piatră territory, issued on the 9th of March 1668, offers at the same time an opportunity of discussing the main tasks of these troops.
