Subiect: The situation of the Banat peasantry during the years 1934-1938 was closely connected with the evolution of the agrarian economy, with the dynamic of the forces and relations of production in agriculture. The social stratification of the rural population deepens, fact seen in the rising of the weight of the poor peasantry in the life of the village. A great part of the rural forms lacked the culture earth or deposed of insuficient plots, being obliged to use the sharecrop or the lease. The Banat peasantry would continue to struggle, in these conditions, for the democratic application of the provisions of the law of the Agrarian Reform, for earth and better living conditions. The struggle for earth would be blended with the actions directed against the class politics of the dominant circles in the domain of fiscality, for ceasing the abuses and injustice corninitted by certain local administrative organs. The struggle of the Banat peasantry attaches itself organically to the large democratic movement of the Romanian working masses for social rights.
