Subiect: The Arrival of the Transylvanians in the Village Communities on Doamnei River Valley
The ”Transylvanians” have arrived in the localities from Vâlcea & Muşcel area, since Transylvania was ruled by the Hungarian kings. It was a transfer of population caused by the anti-Romanian measures promoted by the Hungarian kings, but also because of the intention of Grigore Ghica to populate the Romanian villages. He stipulated that in a document from the 14th of May 1750. Thus the immigrants were allowed to inhabit the available places under the condition to pay some taxes and to work six days a week on the estates of the masters that permitted them to settle on. The Transylvanian settled in the village communities Nucşoara, Corbi, Stăneşti, Domneşti, and Pietroşani. The inhabitants of Corbi adopted the traditions & customs of the Transylvanians.
