Subiect: The Archaeological Research from the St. Nicholas Church and the St. Pantelimon Church from Piteşti
The church having as patrons Saint Nicholas and Saint Pantelimon, a church that belonged to the merchants’ community, was one of the most architectural representative monuments of the town. The first construction was a little stone church probably dating from the middle or the second half of the 18th century and it was deteriorated during the earthquake from 1802. It was repaired and enlarged in 1812 with money donated by the citizens. Because of the public utility reasons it was demolished in 1962.
