Subiect: The present study offers a series of historical considerations regarding the idea of ethnic Romanian autonomy in the 19th and early 20th century Transylvania (during the Austro-Hungarian rule). The main goal pursued by the ethnic Romanians of the Empire during the 19th century was the formation of an autonomous entity where the Romanian language could be freely used at an official level.
