Subiect: Agricultural Produces and Handicraft. Acquisitions of Cluj Municipality rom the Romanian Peasants. The 17th Century
A new sample pf agricultural produces and handicraft products acquired by Cluj municipality, from the Romanian peasants, during a whole century, the 17th, follows after that depicted in a previous study concerning the 16th century.
Against the same valuable sources of epoch information are used, the Reckonings of Cluj town, these important documents can be found in the archives of Cluj.
The Romanian peasantry from the villages that entered the sphere of economic gravity of Cluj town offer the municipality, and, implicitly, the Cluj market, in this century, food stuffs and agricultural produces (butter, bread, cheese, honey, trout, wheat, meat .etc.), required by the housing of princes, high officials, heralds or soldiers, raw materials {coals) and handicraft products (shingles, millstones, boards, girders etc.), of vital importance for urbanistic necessities of public interest
In the secondary ground the unpublished historical realities are revealed from the cultural world of the epoch, being mentioned Romanian monks and nuns, Romanian priests, a painter from Feleacu, a chorister and school teacher or a copyist of Romanian books at the monastery over there, a girl’s school in Cluj, as well as other „ludi magistri" from villages and fairs in the area of influence of the toron on Someşul Mic.
