Subiect: The Cistercian Mission in Transylvania
The present study deals with the Cistercian missionary activity in the 13th century Transylvania. The novei aspect of our interpretation lies in the approach to the Cistercian rnission from the perspective of the Order's central institutions and Rome's hierocratic standpoint. The scope of the Cistercian missionary endeavor went far beyond the regional limits, the phenomenon being ranged within the framework of wide missionary theocratic experiments.
