Subiect: Aspects of Modernity: Publicity in the Roman ian Press from Transylvania in the second Half of the XIXth
In this article, the author analyses publicity in a number of important Romanian Transylvanian journals from the second half of the XIXth century: Gazeta Transilvaniei (Braşov); Tribuna (Sibiu) and Unirea (Blaj). The increasing presence and the diversified content of the advertisements suggest important changements and a constant amelioration of the way of life of the urban population, as well as an increasing diversification of the consumers' needs.
