Subiect: A new Roman imperial coins hoard of IVth century discovered at Moldova Veche ( Caraş-Severin district)
The work presents a coins hoard discovered at Moldova Veche, zone Vinograda, it consists of 11-1 bronze coins of IVth century and 2 coins of 3rd century (Caracalla and Diocletian). The most part of the hoard represents the issues of Constantius II, Constans (351-354), that period dovetails with the moment of accumulation. We can fix the moment it was hidden after 361, because the last coins are issued in the period 355-361. The hiding of the hoard can be connected either with the conflicts of Sarmatians and the Constantius II campaign against those, or with the fall of Banat limes after 378.
