Subiect: The article addresses the main events of the year 1962, as they are reflected in the Romanian press of that period, the study itself being mainly focused on the „România Liberă” and „Informaţia Bucureştiului” newspapers. Thus, issues such as collectivization, the visit of the Russian delegation led by Nikita Hrusciov in The Romanian People’s Republic, the Cuban missile crisis are analyzed following the presentation from the two newspapers, controlled by state institutions of the political regime of the time.
