Subiect: During the 19th century the history of the Rornanians is dominated by a strengthening of their Iight for national unity and social freedom. The Hurmuzache family played a very important part in this struggle. For more than fifty years its mernbers were the leaders of the Romanians of Bukovina county in their efforts to perserve their national being- that is their language, culture and Church- to get free from the Austrian domination and to unite with all the other Romanians into a single state.
