Subiect: The paper presents a monetary hoard made up of Roman Republican and early Imperial denarii discovered by chance in the spring of 2019, with the metal detector, in Valea Nenii village (Priboieni commune), located in the hilly area of Arges County. The discovery was followed by a test excavation, which revealed the existence in that place of a Late Iron Age indigenous settlement. The hoard, consisting of 17 denarii, issued between 132-13 BC, is discussed in the context of the other archeological and numismatic findings of the micro-region, with which it has many similarities, such as the hoards from Cetăţeni, Strâmba and Voineşti.
