Subiect: Philosophical accents in the historical work of Gheorghe Şincai
The author starts from the finding that in Gheorghe Şincai's vision and interest in history and philology, he produces arguments that his historical works contain an implying philosophy focused on the generical concept of "humanism", a concept with strong philosophical accents.
Gheorghe Şincai’s ideas referring to the Roman origin of Romanian people and to people emancipation by science and culture are analyzed.
As well, it emphasized the influence of philosophical theory of the natural right and the contractual theory upon the historical works of the Transylvanian master, works belonging to I7th-18th centuries and having a great influence on the area of modem age philosophy.
The philosophical accents contained by philosophical works of Gheorghe Şincai complete the complex personality of the representative of the Transylvanian School.
