Subiect: Cartography. Interventions on a restored 19th century Romanian map
Cartography is a complex map-making process, from gathering source data to the drawing and reproduction of the final document. It consists of a cartographer skills and implies writing and printing materials. In a storage environment, the importance of relative humidity levels and temperature is decisive. This paper reflects the need of a restoration intervention made on a restored map, degraded by the damp environment within museum.
