Subiect: Roman bronzes from Gherla
We present a series (136 pieces) of small finds from the roman fort at Gherla (Cluj county). All finds come by accidental discoveries.
For the first time we studied the function of these pieces. By this point of view we divided the finds in five categories: I. Joining parts of vessels, II. Furniture pieces, III. Military equipment pieces, IV. Harness pieces, V. Appliques and pendants. For our analysis, we used analogies from the Roman Empire, outside of the border and from Dacia.
