Subiect: The historical framework, the energetic potential of the waters, the human and the industrial potential, all lead to the statement, that the Mountainous Banat is the most representative area for the Romanian hydro energetics. This zone offers essential examples of using this energy, from the most archaic wooden "turbine mills" to the complex modern technologies. If the first hydro-energetic power stations were supplied with equipment made by companies with European fame (V. Voith), from 1930 on hydraulic turbines are realized in Romania, for local objectives (the Bella Vista hut and the cross on the Muntele Mic peak), and in 1970-1980 there the Reşiţa Works realize the hydro-aggregates for the „Iron Gates" Power Station. Our paper intends:
- to present the elements of industrial archaeology identified in several power stations of low power;
- to make sensible the decision-makers regarding the possibilities of creation of two technical museums, at the Herculane and Grebla-Reşiţa Power Stations;
- to describe some touristic trails, which include visits at the hydro-energetic installations, taking into account die remarkable natural environment of them.
