Subiect: We can discover a whole mystique of light in St. Simeon's writings if they are gently read. Both the western and the eastern theologians recognize it unanimously. But also a mystique belonging only to the Orient with some certain emphases. So, there are some levels in the Holy Light revealing: 1. God reveals Himself as Light; 2. This immaterial Light revealing belongs to the sensitivity or to the intellect; 3. The Holy Light revealing comes after an ascetic tie, or better say, the ascetism is a prerequisite of this revealing; 4. Light comes and goes at the beginning of the meeting; 5. Light purifies the man gradually; 6. The Holy Light transforms in light the people who can see it. All these above may be considered in order to penetrate and understand this theology of the Holy Light which represents one of the Oriental philosophy specific features.
