Subiect: The idea of national unity of the Romanians is reflected in the Banatian press and particularly in the „Drapelul” newspaper in Lugoj, the only newspaper which had not been abolished by the very hard censorship of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy. Evolving from subtle forms at the beginning of the war 1914-1917 (such as poetry, the Declaration of Philadelphia, quotations from Shakespeare, L. Kossuth, W. Wilson) to openly engaged forms, in the late months of the year 1918, the idea of the union was reflecting the irresistible desire and decision of the Romanians in Banat and everywhere to establish a unitary national state of all the Romanians.
