Subiect: As a result of the archaeological investigations made in the territory of the Roman town Tibiscum, namely in the village Iaz, commune Obreja (Caraş-Severin County) there have been discovered from 1975 to 1983, 42 fragments of an inscription, of whose restauration we are dealing in this paper. Its restauration has been done in 5 stages: 1. Washing, neutralization, drying and impregnating for the preservation of the fragments; 2. Displaying, grouping, assembling and sticking the fragments for the reconstitution the inscription; 3. Completing the missing parts with plaster; 4. Completing the text with missing letters; 5. Finishing and final consolidation.
