Subiect: Aspects regarding the restoration of the Minei (Menaion) of January printed in Bucharest in 1852
The paper presents the restoration of the Menaion of January. Now for the second time reviewed and printed during the time of our well faithful prince, ruler of the Wallachia, Barbu Dimitrie Ştirbei. For this purpose, are presented the morphological description, the results of the physico-chemical and physico-mechanical investigations, the conservation state, dry cleaning, wet cleaning, methods used for the restoration of the pages, the restoration stages regarding the book binding, the photographic documentation. Due to these restoration interventions, the lifetime of the book was extended, its functionality completely restored and entered into the expositional museum circuit.
