Subiect: ”The boiling must” – Romanian society around the revolution of December 1989
The present study analyzes the crisis situation existing in the Romanian society in the period preceding the outbreak of the anti - communist revolution of December 1989.
Highlighting the major role of economic factors, the analysis does not avoid the illustrative aspects of the deep moral and legitimacy crisis facing the regime. The tense mood of the majority of the population was a wake-up call, but despite warnings from the intelligence services, the Party was unable to react.
